  英文版，读得磕磕绊绊的[捂脸]，常常是读了下一章，却忘了上章的内容[捂脸]，体会不到文章深意。不过当初读的目的就是培养一点语感，所以，我还是算完成目标了吧😂 接下来，就是抽时间读中文版啦，有点小期待呀😄

  熬夜看完的小说，一本感人的著作。 看惯美语的看英国英语本来就累。再加上这是一百年前的书，大概就是看文言文的感觉。字全认识但连在一起又看不懂了[流汗]于是还得结合着中文版一起看。但有能力的还是看英文，因为本书文字很美。 真诚热切的Charles，忠诚尽职的Lorry，内敛深情的Carton，勇敢而充满爱的Pross，lucie稍稍有些傻白甜（她这样的成长环境不应该这么傻白甜？）。 每个人都为他所爱而牺牲：charles去救他手下人不顾自己风险（低估了风险），Lorry为了朋友一家可以牺牲自己的生命但不允许给玷污公司名誉，pross为了保护lucie可以跟带武器的人搏斗，Carton就更厉害了，留下信说我有机会向你证实自己的话好高兴（哭）。 一个旧的社会里平民受到贵族压迫；新的社会里那些被压迫过的人起来压迫别人。被压迫的人那颗复仇的心谁也不能责怪，但被压迫的人翻身起来的那种疯狂，和以前压迫别人的社会又有什么区别。所以我们追求一个平等的社会吧，有阶层就会有压迫，有压迫就会有反抗。

  Through a fiction with the background of social turmoil known as the Great Revolution, the author gave an indepth depiction of humanity, involving oppression, torture, hatred, vegeance, and most of all, love. The characters, scenes, the frenzy fever, and the mind of the ones involved in the revotion are so vivid, so lively, so universally applicable to any revolutiion, regardless of time and country, that you amost see them re-animated,  more than a hundred years later, and more than once, in China.

  关于Sydney Carton——有些人看似才能卓越，有远大前程，但内心早已死灰般沉寂，深陷泥淖，无可自拔。不仅外貌不可恰如其分再现本质，一切世俗尺度皆不可靠。作者分给卡顿的笔墨暗合其边缘人身份，但这一形象展开来写或许更精彩。如果说Madame Defarge编织的段落炸弹般在头脑引起轰鸣，卡顿更像无心听闻的乐章，在某个不经意的时刻突然造访，引发无限遐想。如狄金森所言，如果不曾见过光明，便不觉黑暗如此难忍。Lucie如一阵强光，刺痛早惯于穿行在黑暗的卡顿，令他睁不开眼睛。在光明的映照下，自己的生活是那么卑污不堪——想改变已经太晚。卡顿是悲观的，甘愿做鬣狗，臣服于狮子，用才智为他人做嫁衣；他又是自知的，选择默默守候，不去打扰，在必要时刻为心上人献出生命，这是小人物的悲剧美。
